La versione EN ISO della norma EN374-1, introduce la nozione di 3 tipi di protezione contro la permeazione di prodotti chimici:
- Tipo A: il guanto ottiene un indice di performance alla permeazione almeno uguale a 2 per 6 prodotti chimici di prova presi nella lista dei prodotti chimici determinati nella norma.
- Tipo B: Il guanto ottiene un indice di performance alla permeazione almeno uguale a 2 per 3 prodotti chimici di prova presi nella lista dei prodotti chimici determinati nella norma.
- Tipo C: Il guanto ottiene un indice di performance alla permeazione almeno uguale a 1 per 1 prodotto chimico di prova preso nella lista dei prodotti chimici determinati nella norma.
